Job Title: Contracts and Compliance Associate

Reports To: Associate Director, Operations and Compliance


The Contracts and Compliance Associate will work with all departments within the Avid organization to effectively assist in the preparation, negotiation, and review of contracts and agreements; track completion of compliance related training ; maintain electronic records in connection with contracting and compliance; and assist with the execution of corporate compliance and communication initiatives including but not limited to contract terminations, scheduling and management of Quarterly Compliance Open Forum meetings, and other Operations and Compliance tasks as needed.

This individual reports to the Assistant Director Operations and Compliance, and works with all departments in supporting the contractual and associated business operations requirements of the company.


  • Prepare, track, negotiate, and review standard Confidential Disclosure Agreements
  • Maintain and update the contract filing system and associated log for tracking and flagging contractual commitments for renewal or renegotiation
  • Coordinate contract approvals and signatures, and log all completed contracts
  • Manage contract terminations; tracking status, milestones, and budget. Communicate with vendors as needed or advised
  • Work with Associate Director, Operations and Compliance and Lilly colleagues to facilitate required employee compliance training and documentation. This includes tracking completion of required training modules, and maintaining electronic and paper records documenting completion of applicable training
  • Prepare, track, negotiate, and review contract amendment drafts as needed
  • Complete other Contracting, Compliance, and Operations tasks as needed
  • Other special projects as assigned


Basic Qualifications:

  • BA or BS degree
  • A minimum of 3 years of contract experience
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN status) for this employment position

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Prior work experience in a corporate legal, procurement or corporate compliance department preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated excellent written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and desire to work in a team environment
  • Independent and self-motivated with ability to execute projects based on priority
